I’m Luke Mitchell, owner of Mitchell & Associates in Kelowna, BC. I’ve spent the last 14+ years in construction, working my way up from the tools to running large, complex projects and now building a boutique renovation and development company focused on quality, communication, and clean execution.

I’ve been involved in large custom homes, high-rise and large residential builds, multifamily projects, tenant improvements, and major renovations across the Okanagan. In my role as a construction superintendent and Project Manager, I’ve coordinated everything from excavation and structure to finishes and final occupancy on projects with a lot of moving parts, tight schedules, and serious expectations. That background means I bring “big project” systems and discipline to every home and renovation we take on.
A huge part of my job over the years has been dealing directly with inspectors, engineers, and city staff. I understand how to plan work so inspections go smoothly, how to respond to comments quickly, and how to keep projects moving without cutting corners. My approach is simple: be prepared, be honest, and be detailed. That mindset has helped me build good relationships with inspectors and keep jobs on track instead of getting bogged down in avoidable rework.
On the residential side, I’m not just a builder on paper—I’m a homeowner and landlord who’s lived through the process personally. I’ve added multiple legal suites to my own residences, so I know exactly what homeowners worry about: zoning, sound transfer, privacy, fire separations, parking, and timelines. Because I’ve done it myself, I can lay out a clear path from first idea to final inspection—permits, design, trades, inspections, and all the small details that actually make a suite comfortable, rentable, and compliant.
Over the years I’ve also managed several rental properties and been involved in multiple property purchases and sales. That experience means I look at projects not only as builds, but as investments. I’m comfortable building budgets, pro formas, and realistic cost forecasts so clients understand where their money is going and what the long-term picture looks like.
Most importantly, I’m a full-time dad and family guy living right here in the Okanagan. I know your home is usually your biggest asset and the center of your life. My goal with Mitchell & Associates is to combine big-project experience with small-company attention to detail—so you get professional management, clean sites, respectful trades, and a straightforward, no-drama process from start to finish.
